What kind of incompetence pro-max is this?

I have to retract my… David Lammy is getting away with murder diatribe. Turns out there is a world where something so serious as a vetting can fail and the politician ultimately in charge of the department can not know.

My apologies to Mr Lammy, my faith in you is restored. No hard feelings. I literally didn’t know. None of us did. We thought politics ran like the real world where the head of department was either negligent or incompetent. We didn’t know there was a world where almost literal land mines could be lurking under the surface and you pass these people every day and not know.

Like I said- I apologise to Mr David Lammy. And to Kier Starmer. This was a case of the letter of the law masking the spirit of the law.

The rules were followed, but yet the breach still held.

I honestly don’t know what’s worse.
